Import and export customers (CSV)
Have a customer list in Excel, Google Sheets or an old system? Save it as a CSV file and import it into Tellfox in one go. You can export the whole list back as a CSV at any time.
Import customers
Section titled “Import customers”-
Open Customers and tap Import.

Choose your file under CSV file and tap Check the file.

Read the check: how many are New, how many Match a customer you have and are added to them, how many Repeat an earlier row of the file, and Rows skipped, each with its reason, like “Row 12: phone is not valid”. Below, The first 20 rows shows what each row will become.

If it looks right, tap Import N customers. The page shows the result, like “Import finished: 240 new, 12 added to existing customers, 3 skipped.”
If an import stops part way, just import again: customers already imported are not doubled.
File rules
Section titled “File rules”- A UTF-8 CSV file (in Excel, choose “CSV UTF-8”), up to 10,000 rows and 2 MB.
- The first row holds the column names, in English or Thai. A name column is required; the others are optional.

Customers you already have
Section titled “Customers you already have”A row whose email or phone matches a customer you already have is added to that customer instead of making a new one: a phone, an email, tags, a note, and the birthday if they have none. An import never changes a customer’s name, or anything the customer verified themselves.
Export every customer
Section titled “Export every customer”The owner taps Export on the Customers page to download a CSV of every customer. Its columns are name, phone, email, on LINE, language, birthday, tags, created, last visit, visits, spent (THB), offers: LINE and offers: email.
- The file holds no LINE IDs.
- A cell that starts with
=,+,-or@gets a'in front, so Excel doesn’t run it as a formula. Tellfox’s import takes it off again, so an exported file imports back. - One file holds up to 50,000 customers.
- Every export is recorded on the Activity page.
