Reminders and reconfirmation
Reminders are on from the day you create your business: nothing to set up. Every reminder has an I’ll be there button, so customers can tell you they’re coming, and you know in advance whom to call.
When customers are reminded
Section titled “When customers are reminded”| Reminder | When |
|---|---|
| The day before | 24 hours ahead (a stay: 9 in the morning of the day before check-in) |
| On the day | 3 hours ahead (not for stays) |
- A booking made after a reminder’s time isn’t reminded: the customer has just had their confirmation.
- A moved booking is reminded again for its new time.
- A customer who already tapped I’ll be there gets no same-day reminder.
- Places in classes are reminded just like bookings.
Switch reminders on or off
Section titled “Switch reminders on or off”-
Open Settings and go to the Notifications tab.
-
Tick or untick The day before (24 hours ahead) and On the day (3 hours ahead).
-
Tap Save.
Customers say they’re coming
Section titled “Customers say they’re coming”The customer taps I’ll be there in the reminder. A page “Confirm you’ll be there” opens; they tap I’ll be there and see “Thank you, the business knows you are coming. See you then!” Tapping again changes nothing.
It’s a mark, not a new status: the booking was confirmed when it was made. A customer who doesn’t tap still has their booking, and Tellfox never cancels a booking by itself. When a booking moves, the mark goes and the customer can confirm again from the next reminder.
What you see
Section titled “What you see”- Calendar: reconfirmed bookings have a tick; bookings in the next two days without one have a dashed outline; the top says “3 still to come today have not said they are coming”.
- The booking’s details: the time they tapped (“Said they are coming”).
- Not reconfirmed on the Bookings page: today’s and tomorrow’s bookings where the customer hasn’t tapped “I’ll be there” yet, each with a Call button. Call to check; the booking stays on.
- The customer list: each customer’s next booking says “coming” or “not reconfirmed”.
