Emails to customers and to you

Customers who don’t use LINE, like visitors from abroad, get every message by email instead. An email holds the same details and buttons as a LINE card, and customers manage their booking from it without signing in.

Customer emails come in your business’s name (its English name for customers using English, when you’ve added one) from Tellfox’s email address. The subject says what happened and who from, like “You are booked · Baan Spa”. Emails are in the customer’s language (Thai or English), with a formatted and a plain-text version.

Every email also has Call the business and Chat with the business when you’ve set them in Settings. The booking buttons open the customer’s booking page through their private link. See what they see in Manage a booking.

The confirmation, move and cancellation emails carry a booking.ics file the customer opens to add the booking to their phone or computer calendar. When the booking moves or is cancelled, the new file updates the same calendar entry instead of adding a second one. The customer’s booking page also has Add to Google Calendar.

When a customer books or cancels on their own, every owner and manager with an email gets an alert:

When Subject
A customer books on your booking page (a class place too) New booking
A customer cancels A customer cancelled

It shows the customer’s name, the service, the day and time, the customer’s note and the booking number, with Open the booking, which opens it in your account pages. It comes from Tellfox, in your business’s main language. Bookings and cancellations your team makes send no alert.

  1. Open Settings and go to the Notifications tab.

  2. Tick or untick Email owners and managers when a customer books or cancels.
