Working hours and time off

Customers are only offered times when your business is open and someone who does the service is working and free. This page is about the second part: each person’s hours, and time off. Owners and managers change them; everyone on the team can see them.

Open the person from Team. Under Working hours, choose:

  • Same as the opening hours: they work whenever the business is open. This is how everyone starts.
  • Own hours: a week of their own.

With Own hours, switch each day on or off and set its time. For a break in the middle of the day, tap + Add another period, e.g. 10:00–13:00 and 14:00–19:00. Copy Monday to all days fills the week from Monday. Tap Save: “Working hours saved”.

Times are only ever offered inside the opening hours, even if a person’s own hours are longer.

A day that’s different from usual, other hours or a day off, goes under One-off changes on the person’s page:

  1. Pick the Date (from today, up to two years ahead).

  2. Set the hours for that day, or tick Not working that day.

  3. Tap Save the change.

It replaces their usual hours for that day only. Back to usual removes it.

Team → Schedule shows who works when, one row per person who takes bookings, a chip per day:

A chip shows Meaning
10:00–19:00 Their hours that day
Not working Their day off
Changed A one-off change for that day
Away Time off
Closed The business is closed

Move with Previous week and Next week, or back to This week. Each row adds up the hours (38 h a week). Tap a day to change just that day: the person’s page opens with the one-off form set to that date.

Block a time when the whole business, or one person, can’t be booked: a holiday, leave, an outside event.

  1. Go to Team → Time off.

  2. Under Who, choose The whole business or a person.

  3. Set the Start date and Start time, the End date and End time (up to a year), and a Reason if you like.

  4. Tap Add time off.

Time off shows on the calendar as a block with its reason. Remove takes it away again. A person’s own time off is also listed on their page.
